Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was relaxing and delicious!!!

Luke is getting super excited for the holiday season and we very much look forward to getting to see some of you soon!

SNOW SNOW SNOW

Snow in Seattle!!! After 4 days of snow everywhere we are finally back to normal. Our neighborhood was a total winter wonderland and our boys were in heaven!!!

I can't decide who loves the snow more between Luke and Guapo. Those two could play all day. We went to our favorite park which has perfect hills for sledding and played in the Garfield track area which was covered in pristine powder. Perfect for snow angels!

When Luke woke up to find all the snow had melted this morning he was pretty disappointed but I assured him that there will much more snow in Seattle this winter.

Halloween

This year for Halloween Luke was a super cool, super amazing red ninja (or "inja" as he puts it.

We attended a kickin kids Halloween party during the day, trick-or-treated with a bunch of our neighborhood buds and handed out candy at home in the evening. It was a pretty fantastic day!

When asked what Luke wants to be for Halloween next year he says "a red inja again...but like karate kid." Apparently ninjas are very hot right now.

Happy Anniversary!

To celebrate the one year anniversary of Luke's first day with us we went out for a Luke friendly night on the town.

There was baseball, pizza and tons of fun games to play. We were there way past his bedtime and we had to drag him away. He could have stayed there all night.

(Sorry about the poor quality pictures. I finally bought a proper camera.)

Octoberfest 2010

Octoberfest in Freemont. Luke got to make his own zucchini car which won several races (until it started to mush up a bit). We carved pumpkins, had rootbeer floats and soaked up the sun. It was such a perfect afternoon we almost didn't mind that we couldn't drink beer at the kid friendly Octoberfest...almost.

PUMPKINS!!!

We made it out to Jubilee farms, about 4o miles east of the city. We experienced what was perhaps our last sunny saturday which was lucky!

The farm was beautiful and full of incredible food and sights. We ended up buying a couple little pumpkins and some wonderful organic produce. We got to touch pigs and horses and we even took a hay ride out to the patches. It was pretty amazing! It almost made me want to move out to the country....almost.

School Days

Luke has all sorts of friends at school and he really enjoys being a student. His school does all sorts of great programs. This summer he went on a couple field trips, took swimming lessons and finished the summer with a giant picnic/play day.

Saturday Night!!

Re-building legos, Toy Story 2, and plenty of red wine. Family Saturday nights are are pretty amazing!

Our Seattle Sports Fan

Those who know Luke know that he loves his sports. He has been lucky enough to attend games for the Seattle Sounders, Mariners, Storm, Thunderbirds and of course the Seattle Mudhens. He is a true little sports fan. Special thanks to Jill for the most recent sports adventures!

Family Card Night

Luke has pretty much mastered 'go fish', (aside from leaving his cards face up...I try not to cheat) and we are trying to teach him rummy. It is pretty advanced for him but he is an awfully quick learner.

Luke is watching me add this post and he wanted to add a message.

"I have my flag and my star up and they look cool...outside. I love you. L-U-K-E."

"And Mommy Erica has a motorcycle and a helmet and its really fast."

Super Hero Madness!

Luke had his first sleepover at our house this last weekend. The boys remained in super hero gear for the entire adventure and played their little hearts out! They really enjoyed playing in the garden and racing around the house in true superhero fashion.

They went to sleep super late and in the morning were heard jumping and giggling in Luke's room at 6:30 am. I don't know where they get the energy. The whole thing was incredibly cute.

Best Buds!

Luke and Guapo are the cutest! They totally look out for each other. Luke's daily chore is to feed Guapo dinner and I think he really enjoys taking care of him.

Luke also likes to cuddle with him...which Guapo enjoys sometimes.

FOOD FACE!

Luke is such an amazing eater! I love this picture with all of the cherry juice. He loves fruit just as much as I did as a kid and I think his favorites are strawberries, cherries and tomatoes. (sound familiar)

Luke also LOVES peperoni pizza. The second picture is of him eating pizza with our friend Jill. He can eat more pizza than any 4 year old I have seen. Pretty impressive!

Asian Art Museum

Yesterday we went to Asian Art Museum for the first time. It was a beautiful day and we even got to do some arts and crafts. Luke made this awesome frame for a picture that they took of him in this kimono. The museum is located in this big beautiful park and we got to frolic and play in the sunshine. Luckily we got to enjoy the sun because we are back to rain today. This is the soggiest June in sometime and we are a little envious of all of our fam in sunny Florida and California. Try to send some of that sunshine in our direction.

We don't watch much TV but we simply can't resist the Office. Luke sort of loves the show and sometimes asks, "what's Dwight doing now?" Don't worry friends and fam, aside from the Office Luke is pretty much only watching PBS so we figure it balances out.

Love this picture of Luke and Mommy Erica!

The Giants Fan

Here is a picture of Luke in his Giants gear. Grandma Lynda and Grandpa Tony and VERY excited to have another SF fan in the family. Don't worry though, he has already attended a Mariners game and knows that that is his team! Luke is always changing his mind about what he wants to be when he grows up but lately he has landed on baseball player/ construction man (which we think is the perfect combination).

Luke in the kitchen

We had a horribly rainy memorial day weekend but we made the best of it. We got to sleep in everyday which was amazing and here are a couple pictures of Luke 'cleaning' after we made brownies for our friends' bbq. They were mushy and delicious if anyone is curious.

Luke at the Storm game

Here are a couple picture from Luke's first Storm game. He and I went about two weeks ago. We had amazing seats from a friend of Erica's and Luke totally loved it! He was super impressed with the 'tall girls' and I of course loved that his first experience at a professional b-ball game with us was to see women! He also loved just running around key arena. It was a pretty great date.
