First Day of School

Last week Luke started kindergarten! He wears his new uniform clothes everyday and has an amazing Captain America Backpack. The first picture is of him reuniting with some of his preschool buds in his new school's playground. He is lucky to have lots of familiar faces at his new big school. His new teacher is super kind and warm and Luke is very excited to be a kindergarten student.

The Fair and Our Own Little Harvest

Yesterday we went to the Washington State Fair in Puyallap. It was a perfectly warm day and the fair was wonderful. We saw TONS of animals, interesting folks, and kids Luke's age ride sheep for sport (he of course wants to try this next time). We ate corn dogs, ribs and elephant ears and to top it off Luke went on the big Ferris Wheel for the first time! Needless to say it was a big day and we all loved it.

The other pictures are from our mini-harvest at our house. Our first attempt at dahlias was a total success and we have been enjoying food from the garden ever since we got back.

SUNNY SEATTLE!!!

Sorry for the lack of posts over the past few months. We had a huge month after the wedding and were very happy to return home in mid-August. The weather all through July was apparently pretty yucky but luckily since we arrived home we have had nothing but picture perfect summer weather!!!

Here are some pictures from our late-summer adventures. Luke with his best bud Eli and then some "beach" (yes Florida folks, this is what our beaches look like:)) pictures from our adventures at Saint Edward state park and Rattle Snake Lake.

We are trying our best to soak up all of this amazing sunny weather before the Indian Summer ends and the Northwest fall sets in. Love from our clan and we hope everyone is doing well!

MAY!!!

May has come and gone and the Lukster has had all sorts happy times. He got to go to REI with Erica for 'take your kid to work day', where he helped work on bikes and climbed the pinnacle. He climbed way higher than last year which he was pretty proud of.

T-ball continues and Luke is still loving it!!! His little team has learned so much about the game and they have gotten pretty tight. Luke will play in 2 more games this season.

We are of course taking on some more home projects and this time Luke even helped out a bit. For now we are desperately waiting for more than 1 consecutive day of sun:)

Go Black Pelicans!!!

Little league has begun and Luke is psyched!! He plays for the New Orleans Black Pelicans in the Seattle Central league. As we suspected he might be, Luke is an absolute natural and LOVES being a part of a team.

His first game was super fun and Erica and I are also enjoying our new role as "little league moms".

Luke's 5th Bday Bash

Luke had a very exciting 5th Birthday!! He got to have a Star Wars themed fiesta in California and then a super amazing sleepover with his best buds in Seattle!!

It was admittedly ambitious of us to host 4 little ones for about 20 hours but it was great and Luke had the time of his life!!

Luke is already very excited about being 5 years old. He thinks it is far superior to being only 4. One of the major perks of Luke's 5 year oldness is that he gets to start t-ball. His team name is the "New Orleans Black Pelicans" and practice starts on tuesday. Luke is pumped!!

I promise to deliver a much more timely update with t-ball pictures and stories.
